Top Ten Things to do in Japan

  1. Get lost in a sea of people on the streets of Tokyo. Seriously, the crowds here are intense.
  2. Try to decipher the inscrutable instructions on the vending machines. Good luck with that.
  3. Go to a cat cafe and pretend to be a cat for an hour or two. Hey, we all need a break from reality sometimes.
  4. Climb up Mount Fuji. Or, you know, just take a few pictures from the base and call it a day.
  5. Go to a karaoke bar and embarrass yourself singing “Kokomo” by the Beach Boys. Don’t worry, nobody here speaks English anyways.
  6. Go to a shrine and make a wish, but be sure to throw a coin into the offering box with your eyes closed. It’s supposed to bring good luck, or at least that’s what we’ve heard.
  7. Visit a sento (public bath) and try not to feel self-conscious about being naked in front of strangers. Embrace the awkwardness!
  8. Eat all the strange and mysterious foods you can find, like octopus balls and fermented soybeans. Who knows, you might even like them!
  9. Take a bullet train and pretend to be a superhero. Just be sure to get off at the right stop.
  10. Get a fish pedicure. Yes, it’s a thing. No, we’re not sure why. But hey, when in Japan…

Overall, Japan is a country full of amazing and unique experiences. Whether you’re up for a little adventure or just want to relax and take in the culture, there’s something for everyone here. So go ahead and have some fun, and don’t be afraid to try something new!
